Nowadays, almost everyone is health conscious. People mostly choose to have fresh juices, curries and pure spices. I too choose preparing fresh food and juices. Due to less time, everybody wants for a decent and long lasting yet strong and powerful mixer grinder which can easily solve the problem of fresh juices and food immediately. The use of my mixer grinder is atleast thrice a week as my kids are small and reluctant to have few fruits and vegetables. So, fresh juice is the best way to handle this situation. Our experience at Bhimtal

Bhimtal being the biggest lake amongst all lakes of Nainital, we wanted to visit the same with kids.

Last time when I had visited Bhimtal, I remember there used to be a restaurant in the middle of the lake. The view from there used to be spellbinding! Now there was a complete change. Instead of a restaurant, there was an aquarium maintained by the government.

First of all, we did boating in the lake which was a great experience. We could see Siberian cranes enjoying in Indian waters.

Our visit to Eco Cave Garden, Nainital

Eco Cave Garden is about 10-15 minutes away from Nainital. It’s a huge vicinity to show the caves of different animals that were found in those caves.

We were so curious to visit Eco Cave Garden. The entrance to the garden was full of greenery. There were flowers on sides of path. Soon we were at kids play area which was followed by area of caves. The first Cave we saw was Tiger cave. Kids were frightened to enter the Cave. They thought that probably Tiger is still in the Cave. After much reluctance and explanation, they agreed to get inside the cave.

Tiger cave had first stairs from where we could actually reach the base of the same. After reaching the base of the cave, there was another end through which one could exit. The route to exit was quite tough in terms of it being rocky and jagged. Of course, it ought to be. After all it was a Tiger’s Cave. We specially kids got excited. There was black panther’s cave as well. It was all the more narrow and rough. We didn’t go inside. Although people were going but considering little and naughty kids who may hurt themselves, we decided to stay back.

Then there was Flying Fox Cave. We entered the cave from one side and walked a little distance, came back and entered from another side to have a complete feeling as we were scared to get inside the narrow area.

The Pride and Glory of Bali Yatra book and short documentary film launch

I was invited for the launch of a book and short film The Pride and Glory of Bali Yatra. and launch of Heritage Tours. It was a formal event held at the Embassy of Republic of Indonesia hosted by H.E. Mr. Sidharto R. Suryodipuro , the Ambassador of Republic of Indonesia.

H.E. addressed audiences about various similarities between cultures of India and Bali and how we were connected. H.E. said – “I am an Indonesian by birth and nationality and feel privileged to represent my country here in India – a country we believe much of our heritage and culture came from ” . He said am happy to present this unique project that highlights Indian cultural influence in Indonesia – a name that literally means ‘Indian Islands’ – and will, naturally, interest Indians at large”.

Sangeeta S Bahl, the lady with rock solid determination, truly an inspiration this Women’s Day!!

This Women’s Day I would love to talk about The Lady with rock solid determination! The one who has inspired lakhs of Indian women! The one who keeps going towards her goal, come what may! The soul that proves - God helps those who help themselves! Yes, I am talking about Sangeeta S Bahl, 53  who has taken birth to inspire, to exemplify, to tell the world, if a woman decides, no one can stop her!

Last year I had interacted with Sangeeta S Bahl when she was to climb the highest of all , Mount Everest. That was the time when I realised that there is so much potential even in me and I can do so much. I was so full with positive energy and enthusiasm after talking to this ‘divine’ lady. I got to know that she had prepared so much for the Everest and had even torn her right knee’s  ligament which she got operated later. But, soon after four months of rest and physiotherapy, she stood up again to climb more mighty mountains to prepare for Everest. Sangeeta was very positive and hence her positivity led her to scale more mountains and finally she was fit enough to climb Mount Everest.

She had climbed  23,500 ft Camp III Lhotse face when she had to be rescued back  due to high altitude sickness.

Naina Devi temple in Nainital

Naina Devi temple is one of the pure places where Goddess Parvati’s eyes fell when her body was divided into various parts by Lord Vishnu’s chakra. While we were boating in Naini lake, the view of temple was very nice.

The temple was well lit with lights.
