A heritage property to enjoy with breathtaking views of Naini lake in Nainital- The Palace Belvedere

I wanted to stay at a property in Nainital that provided views of one of the lakes either Bhimtal or Naini lake. I looked at various options when I came across an offer to stay at The Palace Belvedere.
I looked at the property on the website and was convinced to stay in the same. I was eager to review the property.
We reached around 3pm. Our GPS system made us reach the location conveniently. The approach to the property is in a narrow lane with a steep slope. But I was thrilled to look at the Heritage property, Palace Belvedere. It was exactly as per the photos I had seen.

Ambiance at The Palace Belvedere

The property was painted white in colour with grey coloured big stones having beautiful colourful flowers around. Overall combination was attractive. The property overlooks Naini lake at Malli Taal.

Top 5 things to do in Sharjah, the Cultural, Historic and tourism jewel of Arab World

Sharjah has always fascinated me! I have always been attracted to the language , food and dressing of people of Sharjah. I feel their dressing style is very elegant and sophisticated. During SATTE ( South Asian Travel Tourism Exhibition), I visited the Pavillion of Sharjah and got the opportunity to interact with the Chairman of Tourism department of Sharjah- SCTDA , H.E. Khalid Jasim Al Midfa. As per him Sharjah is a family destination. He said there are so many things to do in Sharjah.
It’s a versatile destination. Every two hours of drive you would see an entirely different landscape. You can see muntains, deserts, beaches all at Sharjah! You would also experience world class structure and connectivity.

Top 5 destinations to celebrate Shivaratri

Shivaratri is a festival of Lord Shiva. Hindu people celebrate Shivaratri by fasting, chanting Mantras and meditating. Pilgrims go to Shiva temples and pay respect by pouring milk on Shivling. As per legends, there are several stories around this day. It is considered a very auspicious day. One story says this is the night when Shiva and Parvati got married. Other story says this night, Lord Shiva has drunk the world’s poison to remove the negativity. Shivaratri is celebrated with huge enthusiasm in temples of Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Telangana. In Punjab , Shobha Yatras are organised. In Gujarat, Junagadh mela is held. It is considered holy to take bath in Damodar Kund there. There are many different ways to celebrate Shivaratri by devotees. Some people visit temples, some stay at home and worship the God. Some go fasting.

Top five places to visit on Shivaratri

Sariska Tiger reserve, an easy access to wildlife!

I went to Sariska Tiger Reserve for the second time.
There are three reasons to it- a.) We were staying at Neemrana Fort Kesroli which was only about 50kms away from Sariska b.) We wanted to show wildlife to kids while their memory is growing as in our first trip they were too young to remember c.) from beginners point of view, Sariska Tiger Reserve is a good Wildlife destination to start with.

We reached Sariska Tiger Reserve around 2pm. There is a famous temple of Hanuman- Pandupole. It takes minimum one hour to reach Pandupole from the entrance to the Park.
We were supposed to reach Pandupole in our car only. On the way we passed through the forest area.

Get a perfect Italian fine dining experience at Artusi Ristorante

I was curious to visit Artusi Ristorante, the fine dining Italian restaurant in Gurgaon in One Horizon Mall. I love fine dining restaurants.
I must say One Horizon Mall is beautifully designed. The Artusi Ristorante is strategically located in the mall.

The restaurant had a great combination of colours of walls, furniture, table cloths and glasses. I loved the movish, purplish colour of the overall ambiance. High roof and beautiful chandeliers gave an elegant look to the restaurant. Interiors were very thoughtfully done.

Ha Long Bay, a destination of surprises in Vietnam! Article by Ms. Neelam Kapur

I was aware that Ha Long Bay is a beautiful destination in Vietnam! But as I witnessed it, I am short of words to appreciate it to its worth. There are little hills in the ocean. The views of these hills are breathtaking! I have seen such views in Bollywood movies. I could spend hours and hours looking at these splendid sceneries. Water showed us different colours. Sometimes it was blue, sometime green. I loved how a picture was weaving a story by story in my mind. I would call it as Garland of Little Rock’s in God’s hands.

People go Kayaking in Ha Long Bay. But one should ensure to remain in safe zones. Life jackets are must. So, ensure your safety.
My husband did Kayaking with his elder brother. It was fun for both of them.

SATTE 2018, one of the world’s biggest hub of global travel and tourism trade network

Like last three years, this year too I attended SATTE 2018.
Every year I get excited to meet and network with people of travel and tourism trade across the world. Unlike last three years, this year I was glued to SATTE for all three days. It took enough time for me to greet and discuss business opportunities with authorities of Tourism Boards, Hotels/Resorts and Airlines.
At first all visitors have to show the online registration ticket. After the baggage check in, one has to register on-site at the registration gates. After I got my registration, I was raring to explore the world at SATTE 2018. At the first glance was the Tourism board of North East India. Followed by big pavilions of J&K Tourism, Uttarakhand, Telangana, Karnataka, Odisha, Kerala, Goa, Maharashtra Tourism and more.

There were 28 Tourism boards from all across India. Each Tourism board had a Public Relations Officer, memeber of Department of Tourism Board.
