Mussorie

Mussorie, as rightly said 'The Queen of hills' is truly a beautiful hill station. I love being there. Have already visited this place at least 12 times in my life. Reaching there is very convenient. Either you take night train or take Shatabdi in the morning. Both are comfortable.

It takes only 45 mins to reach Mussorie from Dehradun. Reaching there is very refreshing. It becomes even more smittening when beautiful clouds come to embrace you.

 Places to see
  1. Company Bagh -  Nicely landscaped, restaurant within, beautiful flowers, swings for kids. Worth spending 3 hrs with family.
  2. Kempty falls- Scenic drive way. Kempty Falls itself is very soothing. But one has to walk a lot to reach there. So, if you like walking, you will enjoy. Also consider yourself luck if you don't get traffic jam on the way.
  3. Camel Back Road- Nice walk way with scenic beauty.
  4. Mall Road- Starts from Library Chowk and ends at Clock Tower. It is a long but narrow road which can be covered in 1 hour. This place is highly commercial where you will get to see many restaurants, hotels and shops for most kinds of needs.
  5. Cloud End Road - Scenic walk way where you will find hub for homemade jams and pickles.
  6. Dhanaulti- Another little hill station with scenic view having many trees. One can also do trekking there. There is one Garhwal Mangal Vikas Nigam resort.
  7. Gun hill- This is another location to see nature's creation. Many little shops to buy small gift items. One can go trekking or via trolley.

Activities:
  1. Horse riding
  2. Landur Bazaar that starts from Clock Tower
  3. Tibetan Bazaar on Mall Road
  4. Activities like shooting etc on Mall Road
  5. Big and small shops on the mall road that is interesting for kids
  6. Eat Gulab Jamun at Lakshmi sweets near library chowk
  7. Having food at revolving restaurant is interesting as well
