We we’re doing sightseeing of Kochi and went to the  Indian Naval Maritime museum. Naval museum houses information on the glorious past of Indian Navy. The origin of trade links, Vasco De Gama, weapons used by Indian Navvy, Historical documentary movies, model of INS Talwar and so much more information to be proud of is present The Indian Naval Maritime Museum.

Experience a different world at Elephant Junction in Thekkady

Pacific Airbus at Pacific Mall attracts kids this summer vacation

Pacific Mall in Tagore Garden is my favourite. I frequently visit this mall. Kids get so excited specially during Christmas time. They look forward to celebrations there. I too love the ambiance of the mall. Every summer vacations, there is a lot of curiosity amongst kids to see the speciality installed there. Sometimes there is submarine, sometimes spaceship. This time it is Airbus 380. This Pacific Airbus has been installed at the Pacific Mall , Tagore Garden at the ground floor and is the center of attraction for all.

I reached the venue around 12.45pm and there was crowd all around the area. While kids played around the airbus, their parents were busy observing various parts of it. This airbus is 13 ft high and 42 ft wide.

Things to do in Kochi

We reached Xandari Harbour , Kochi in the morning around 12pm in April. It was quite hot at that time. But the welcome drink cooled me down. Mr. Renjith, the resort Manager told about the points that we could see in Kochi. After getting fresh and an early lunch, we headed for the boat ride. It was a marvellous experience. There are some important things to do in Kochi which you should not miss. I am listing them for you.

1. Boat ride in the Vembanad Lake shows you the sunset, dolphins, commercial aspect of the business capital, islands. You will enjoy all that with the cool wind passing by.

2. Fort Kochi is the sightseeing option that is an amalgamation of few things-

• Chinese fishing nets. These are the nets that are only in Kochi and Kollam. These are fixed land installations. Each structure is atleast 10 m high. The system is such that the weight of the human body passing on the beam is sufficient enough for net to descend in the sea and catch the fish.

Things to see during Boat Ride in Kochi at Vembanad Lake

It was evening when we had started for the boat ride in Kochi. Management of Xandari Harbour had arranged for the same. I was eagerly waiting for the sunset. Our boat was a two storied boat. We all sat at the second floor of the boat. Property of Xandari Harbour was nicely visible from the boat.

Nice wind was blowing by.


It was really hard to keep all the stuff, camera, mobile and self perfectly balanced initially as we settled. I could see the Dubai Portwell container terminal in Kochi. It was amazing to see the same. I wondered how much load it could bear and is a permanent structure placed at the business capital of Kerala.

Xandari Pearl, a property adorned by greenery and sea beach!

I had seen the property of Xandari Pearl on the website and was quite excited to experience the same. I knew that the property is by the beach. Since I am so fond of beaches, I was eagerly waiting to reach there. This property is at Maramar beach which is just an hour and a half drive from Alleppey.

We reached around noon time. It was a beautiful white entrance.

The drive way full of greenery led us to the reception.

One thing I observed about Xandari Resorts is that the reception areas all are white. I love white colour so that's why I liked these properties even more. Beyond the reception area was a little fish pond.

Enjoy luxury while being in the lap of nature at Cardamom County by Xandari Resorts

After our fabulous stay at Xandari Harbour, we went ahead for our stay in Thekkady at Xandari Cardamom County. It was a two nights stay there. At the entrance itself I realised that my stay is going to be in luxury while being in nature.

The green drive way brought us to the reception which was beautifully done up with a center table surrounded with sofas.

There was a beautiful big bowl decorated with flowers and petals on water. During the night time, the reception looked well done up. Moving further were stairs ahead leading to cottages on different levels. The property has 16 keys. Each level of cottages are decorated with numerous number of trees and plants. What I observed was that the resort was very Eco friendly. They did not even have metal vessels for buffet. They had used earthen vessels for the same. The restaurant had a fusion of traditional and contemporary set up. There were paper made decorations everywhere.

The resort had library, little farm house, animal farm, games area, small area for exercise, spa. I used to love special area which had a swing seat. I could enjoy nature sitting and feeling the cool breeze.

My room

My Room had all amenities. There were wall sized glass windows which I always love. There was a sofa and the bed was super comfortable.

There was tea coffee maker and the closet was compact. I liked my bathroom which was neat and clean.

Xandari Riverscapes, Alleppey a true way to escape!

Xandari Riverscapes is all about house boats in Alleppey. As we checked out from Xandari Cardamom County, we were thrilled to experience the house boats in backwaters. It took us around 3 to 4 hours to reach backwaters in Alleppey and what I saw was a big have a place for Xandari Riverscapes. At that instant itself I wondered what the houseboat would be ours! What the experience would be like!!

As I entered the houseboat there was a drawing dining area that welcomed us and a narrow lane lead to one room followed by another. There was a third room as well which was locked.

Beyond the third room was kitchen which was spic and span clean. Slabs were of marble and there was a three burner stove and I was amazed to see how well kept the kitchen was! The whole set up seemed very systematic.
