Why travelling Mother influencers have an advantage?

While many people in this world still think that being a mother is a hindrance to the career growth but I think totally differently! Mothers specially travelling Mother influencers have got an edge! While I say that it doesn't at all mean that others have less! Others have an upper edge in their own situations! I want to bring about the points that can help travelling Mother influencers be more successful while being with kids!

Why travelling Mother influencers have an upper edge?

1. Kids right from age two start speaking their minds. They have their own opinions about food, place and almost everything they experience! Even if they don't speak up but their actions and reactions tell everything. There are many food joints that lure kids and pay special attention to kids menu. So, ladies apart from what you do normally in your travel niche you must take your kids along to such restaurants ( that have a USP for being kids friendly) and observe about how happy your kids are. This can be a strong feedback for the food joint. So, start taking up those opportunities.
2. Mostly all hospitality brands are focussing these days on kids entertainment and comfort. When I had recently reviewed Westin Sohna, every time we used to return to our room, there was a surprise awaiting for kids like chocolates, jelly beans or something written with a silver ink on the leaf. These memories get etched in kids mind and they become loyal guests to such brands when they grow up!
3. There are so many travel destinations that have a perception of being a couple destination. But they also have such sightseeing packages that are fit for families. Take your kids to such destinations and ensure to record their reactions. If destinations are selling themselves as a kids or family destination then you travelling mother influencers have an opportunity to see live reactions and present them on social media. This in turn helps promote the destination.

6 important tips to prepare kids for travel

Travelling with kids is an enjoyment while being a task simultaneously! I always want my kids to be with me during travels as I believe travel makes them smart. Before we travel, I always want to prepare kids for travel minimum a month in advance. Although they are always excited about their travel but sometimes a special place requires special care and physical and mental preparation. Example I wanted to go to a snow field area during winters but couldn't as we all were not prepared for it. So, here is what I do to prepare kids for travel.

6 Important tips to prepare kids for travel

1. Involve kids in deciding a destination for travel
Ask them their areas of interest or any destination that they have in mind. These days kids get exposed to various travel destinations either through peer discussions or through media. If the travel destination is chosen involving them, they would be more excited a out the trip as they will be soon experiencing and testing what they have learnt.
2. Make them familiar with the place
Show images or videos of the destination so they are familiar with the place in advance. Take their inputs while deciding a hotel. Give them a virtual tour.

Taste the world cuisine @ NYC Radisson Blu Plaza, Delhi Airport

I was invited to experience restaurant NYC at Radisson Blu Plaza, Delhi Airport. Being a traveller and curious foodie, I wanted to see what NYC offers to me. So, I reached the venue. Radisson Blu chain is a fond part of my memories since long. So, I already had a positive impression of the brand and food there. NYC is a multi cuisine restaurant from 14 countries that repeats on cyclic basis. This time the theme was Caribbean. I was curious to savour the same.

Ambiance @ NYC Radisson Blu Plaza, Delhi Airport

As I reached the restaurant, I liked the vibrant ambiance with formal set up. It being a buffet system, all food was lined up nicely and staff all set to serve guests.

Ample sitting arrangement was placed to provide enough privacy to each table. I liked turtles, sea horses and other sea animals shaped cane pieces decorated nicely on the side wall. Matching the name, there were photographs of NYC including Statue of Liberty, tall buildings, Hudson River and so much more. The restaurant was well lit up.

Food

There was a lavish spread of buffet. Salads, sushi station, breads, live interactive kitchen, soups, oriental section, Caribbean theme section and Indian section along with desserts. First of all I started with salads.

Charred Pineapple With Chive & Tomato Marmalade/Cucumber. I loved this combination, it being fresh and crispy , juicy pineapple. Tomato & Red Onion Salad With Cilantro Vinaigrette is always my favourite so couldn't resist. Then I had sweet and sour soup which was delicious. From the live kitchen , I tried Pineapple & Curried Mayo Wrap Peshawari Chooza. It was fantastic! The combination of Mayo, pineapple and chicken worked really well. The wrap melted in my mouth as I savoured it.

Mission- Everest Summit by Sangeeta S Bahl

When I last interacted with Sangeeta S Bahl, she was very enthusiastic for Everest summit. She was able to reach the last camp. Then I read the news, that she was evacuated from Everest ( Sagarmatha as Nepalese call it). I was glad to know that she was fine. Knowing her do or die attitude, I knew that Sangeeta would definitely not rest until she summits the Everest. So I was curious to talk to her. Below are the discussion points.

Everest Summit by Sangeeta S Bahl

1. What are the challenges you faced during your mission Everest?
You can never train enough for Everest. Every day is a new challenge because when you put one foot ahead of another its a challenge in each step. I was on Everest for 51 days and my biggest challenge was to stay alive and healthy each single day. Most importantly was to look after myself with proper eating and hydration which helps in acclimatisation. Sleeping was another issue on high altitude when the winds mercilessly sway the tents making it difficult to sleep at a go. The other factor on Everest base camp was the avalanches from the mountains  and the thunderous noises at night.

The biggest challenge by far was to stay patient waiting for the summit push rotation and that by far was sometimes full of anxiety . When it finally happened, I was so excited but got sick to my stomach going up
