Int'l Barbecue Food Festival @ The Leela Ambiance Convention Hotel

Winters are more enjoyable specially for foodies who love to eat variety and piping hot. What happens when such a thing happens at one of the best hotels in Noida! Well, I am talking about Leela Ambience Convention Hotel! They are organizing Int'l Barbecue Food Festival right from European, Oriental, American to Indian barbecue! The festival started on 26th January.

I was invited to review the food. I was quite hungry when I reached Noida from Delhi. My overall experience at the festival was good which you can see below.

It was an open area with big casual wooden dining set ups. I loved the ambiance owing to it being open air and all dining tables under umbrellas and little shelters on grillers and counters. The colour combination of furniture went well.

As I looked through various counters, there were salads, breads, desserts.

There was a special counter for cheese! Oh my God, cheese alone and it was the most popular counter amongst foodies.

Live counters were getting ready to serve us hot barbecue. By the time, it was quite sunny and I loved sitting outside.

Jaipur Literary Festival , a focal point of publicity across the globe in Jaipur during this time witnesses a huge numbers of visitors across the nation and also from abroad. Distinguished and award winning authors from across the globe grace the festival. As one of the major Hospitality Partner , Le Meridien Jaipur unlocks the destination in its own style statement. This time the festival happened from 19th till 23rd of January.

On 22nd January, an inspiring session by Indian-American author, Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni was conducted by Writer and Meidaperson Amrita Tripathi, covered topics on Women writing, the immigrant experience and Indian-Americans.

Le Meridien Jaipur unlocks Jaipur Literary Festival

Chitra told us about her novel of three generations where a mother leads a tough life and her daughter flies to US and her daughter , the third generation how she leads her life.

She also informed about her inclinations towards women issues. How she adjusted with the writing world and how she and her husband raised their family with their busy schedules and constant shifting. Sometimes her son used to hold her hand and took to her desk saying she needs to be relaxed and hence on her writing table. I could very well relate to her when she said she used to make little beds for kids while she was writing and kids slept by the side.

Her other well-known books include Arranged Marriage, Mistress of Spices & Sister of My Heart; the latter two have also been made into movies.

Memories @ La Vallee des couleurs nature park

I was super excited to visit La Vallee des couleurs nature park. A large part of land and hills dedicated to it, La Vallee des couleurs nature park requires a full day trip to thoroughly enjoy.

As we entered premises, there was a small beautiful waterfall.

Then we visited a place at La Vallee des couleurs nature park that showcases 23 colours of land with specimens and all.

First of all, we had a plan to visit the top of the hill on ATVs! I was told that I would be able to drive the ATV. So, I tried my hand at it but could not. Didn't want to take any chance so requested a guide with me. The way up was super tricky and route highly adventurous for a person like me. I thanked myself for not taking a chance. But wow!!! When on the way we stopped at the little waterfall amidst the nature, it was a refreshing feeling. That little waterfall seemed like a movie scene amongst lush greenery.

World Children Expo, Vasant Kunj, Ambiance Mall

Discovery kids a popular channel amongst kids when organized World Children Expo at Ambiance Mall in Vasant Kunj, Delhi, I could not resist taking my kids there. Both my kids were excited to meet with their favourite cartoon and video game characters Angry Birds, Kisna, Chhota Bheem and Pikachu. To meet their favourite stars, they got ready on time and even studied in the morning.

We reached the World Children Expo, Vasant Kunj at 3pm sharp.

A magic show was running when we reached. All kids were enjoying. My kids got in front and observed various magic tricks.

Angry Bird too came as shook hands with all kids. These were fun moments for all children.

Then we had some snacks. Many stalls were there like Haldiram's, Nani ki Matthi, Coffee shop and more. Nani ki Matthi had samples of various Matthias and even bes an burfi, pickles. I had samplers.They were superb.

Madame Tussauds delights Delhiites

How many number of times we have heard about Madame Tussauds. When some years back I heard that Amitabh Bachchan's life-like model was installed at Madame Tussauds, London, I felt so proud and happy. I have always been fascinated by Madame Tussauds and wished to visit the same whenever I am in London. But, but...to my surprise, Madame Tussauds is soon opening in Delhi!!!!! Wow, such a thrill to experience in Delhi and no need to go tho London for the same. Well, Madame Tussauds Delhi is opening very soon in Regal building on the 1st and second floor in Connaught Place.

When I visited Shangrila in CP, I saw a life size statue of Sir Amitabh Bachchan which was truly amazig. So, guys, gear up for the great experience coming up in June!!
