Naldehra, Himachal Pradesh - India

Our Experience-After reaching Shimla by Shivalik Deluxe Express toy train, we hired a taxi for Nadehra. Our stay was at Royal Himalyan Club resort. Since we had visited Shimla many times, this time we decided to stay at Naldehra and visit Shimla for a day. Naldehra is only approximately 25 kms from Shimla. It takes about 40-45 minutes to reach Naldehra from Shimla. Being November, it was quiet cold.

Shimla, is situated in Himachal Pradesh and is a utopia of scenic and breathtaking natural beauty. Toy train journey to Shimla is special in itself. It must be a routine trip for some, but since I found it to be an outstanding experience with my family, I have dedicated a complete chapter to it.

Kumarakom, Kerala - India

After enjoying MunnarAlleppey backwaters and Kovalam, we headed for Kumarakom.  I admit that we had wrongly decided the sequence of destination to be visited. We had to travel all the way back across Kerala to reach Kumarkom. It was a lot of travel. So, I would advise all to start the trip from Cochin and end it on Trivandrum. The Trivandrum airport is only about 14 kms from Kovalam Beach. Anyways , as our friends said – lets enjoy the countryside! We actually enjoyed the paddy fields on our trip to Kumarakom.

Trip to Kovalam, Kerala India

After a lifetime experience of a houseboat stay at Alleppey , we headed for Kovalam in Kerala.
Kovalam town lies in South of Kerela , in Thiruvananthapuram city approx 16 kms from the town.Ours was two nights stay. It took us about 3 hours to reach Kovalam from Alleppey. As we reached our hotel, Sagar Samudra, we realized that the beach was far away from hotel. We had to walk down through very narrow lanes to reach the beach. The accommodation provided too was not having a beach view. So, we changed our hotel.  We reached our new hotel, Kovalam Beach retreat by lunch.

Alleppy, Kerala - India

We and our family friends started from Munnar in the morning and reached Alleppey formally called as Allappuzha by lunch. Our driver was in hurry because our lunch was to be on the houseboat cruise. As we reached Alleppey we saw swarm of boats , some of them two-storyed and luxurious.

Kerala-Munnar and Cochin, India

Kerala , is situated on the southwest coast of India . It is a tropical paradise , a place of breathtaking beauty. Truly called - The land of God or God’s own Country. We decided to visit Kerala in February. Important places identified were Cochin, Munnar, Alleppey, Komarakom and Kovalam. The beauty of Kerela is so diverse and eye smittening that I can’t cover the whole of it in one post. So , I am writing in parts. First part is Kerala- Munnar and Cochin.
