Jim Corbett National Park, Uttarakhand- India

Jim Corbett is an oldest Tiger Reserve in India and is located in town of Ramnagar,Nainital District, Uttarakhand India. It was established in 1936 to protect endangered Bengal tiger. Actually it’s an ecotourism destination for nature lovers.
We started from Delhi early morning by our car via Gajraula , Moradabad, Kashipur and reached Ramnagar. We stopped over at MC Donald, Moradabad for breakfast. As we were approaching our resort, a wolf was crossing the road at the sight of which my kids jumped. It was a good start we thought!......

Sariska National Park, Rajasthan - India

Sariska holds a special place in my heart as a wildlife destination because it was the first wildlife park I visited. My husband had earlier visited this place twice , since he is interested in wildlife. I was always scared to visit a forest myself , and with little kids , it was a complete no-no. But...

Adventure Island, New Delhi - India

We went to this one day picnic spot in month of May, when its pretty hot in Delhi. The place was easily reachable being near Rithala Metro Station. It was a decent drive apart from the normal Delhi traffic which we are anyways used to. We parked the car conveniently and got our tickets from the counter. A huge bridge across an arificial lake welcomed us. It’s a large open space with lots of fun filled activities for children. We went with our cousins. My kids already started enjoying the ambience. There was another interesting thing awaiting- Chhota Bheem brand shop starting with all kid's games, toy weapons to cycles and what not. It was around noon that we entered the amusement park.

Kingdom of Dreams, Gurgaon- India

We went to this place in month of December, when its pretty cold in Delhi. This place is good to visit throughout the year.
We reached very comfortably in one hour’s time from Delhi as the place is located in heart of gurgaon. Parking was also very easy. We got our tickets from entry counter and entered the huge gates.

A small township was budding inside with lots of people. To our surprise , it was a mini India at a glance with its vibrant hues and colours. It was a glittering carnival of India displaying cultures, cuisines, art and craft of various states of India.

Golden Temple, Amritsar- India

Amritsar – home to the “Golden temple “. I was blessed to visit this holy city with my family in August, 2013.  We boarded Amritsar Shatabdi express  to Amritsar in the morning from Delhi. All of us were eager to visit this religious and historic place.
Well , as we reached Amritsar station by noon , we saw a replica of the golden temple at the station itself.

We had checked in a hotel which was a walking distance away from the Golden temple to be able to reach the holy place multiple times without any hassle. This time we did not book any package stay with meals to enjoy Amritsar street food. There are restaurants and hotels to cater to all budgets. After relaxing for a while , we went  to Golden temple complex in the evening. Sikhs visit this holy shrine from all over the world.

The cool wind was blowing as we started walking around the sarovar. In the evening, reflection of gurudwara in holy waters was a spectacular sight. The upper floors of the temple were covered in Gold by Maharaja Ranjit Singh – giving its spectacular view & the English name.

Pratapgarh farms, Haryana- India....one day outing

We went on a day’s picnic to Pratapgarh farms near Jhajjar when our family friend told us. The drive was nice and scenic as well as the place. It was not difficult to reach as we had people and signboards guiding us. You will have to go via Badli to reach Jhajjar.
We went there in February which was a comfortable weather because the farms are open and one can enjoy under the sky. Best time to visit is between October and March. Rest of the year will be hot in summers and there can be swamps during rainy season which can make the drive and visit both uncomfortable. Last stretch of road is muddy and difficult to drive..............We then started our joyride with ethenic games like pithoo , Archery, Dart and Air gun shooting.
